Black Hills String Retreat

Day Camp

July 28 -August 1, 2008

 

The Black Hills String Retreat Day Camp was begun in 1991 by the Black Hills Suzuki School staff, in conjunction with the Black Hills String Retreat for older overnight campers. The Day Camp for Suzuki students who are entering third grade and younger is designed for those who are studying the Suzuki repertoire with a Suzuki teacher. Students should have all repertoire memorized. A camp repertoire list will be sent with your registration materials.

Day Camp begins on Monday, July 28 with registration at 9:00 A.M., followed by an all-day- camper Play-in at 9:30. Students may perform in one of the daily recitals, Monday through Thursday, at 11:30 A.M. The final Suzuki concert will be on Friday, August 1 at 1:00 P.M.

Overnight accomodations are not generally available for day campers and their parents, however there are some tent and camper/rv sites at the camp. Please contact the Cedar Canyon Wesleyan Camp at 605-343-4394 or follow the link below for more information.

While the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally doesn't begin until August 4, hotel and motel rooms will be at a premium. If you need hotel accomodations, we recommend that you make your reservations immediately. Follow the link below to Rapid City hotels and motels.
